About the NOEKS conference:
The International Workshop on Nonlinear Optics and Excitation Kinetics in Semiconductors is the 10th meeting in a series which started in 1987 and was continued at several locations in Germany. These meetings have focused on the area of nonlinear optics and ultrafast dynamics of semiconductors and other material systems. Previous NOEKS meetings have always been of high scientific standard and often played a pioneering role in stimulating new developments. NOEKS 10 will continue this successful tradition providing a forum for the exchange of new ideas and the discussion of recent advancements. With no parallel sessions and lunches that can be taken together at the conference site, the participants will have ideal opportunities for in-depth discussions.Topics of the NOEKS 10:
- Ultrafast nonlinear dynamics (coherent effects, coherent control, quantum kinetics, Terahertz phenomena)
- Low-dimensional and nanostructured optoelectronic and photonic systems (semiconductors, metallic and hybrid systems, organic semiconductors, carbon based materials)
- Solid-state based quantum optics (photon statistics, luminescence, entanglement)
- Spin effects (spin relaxation and dephasing, spin transport)
